<description>Very interesting article. Being disabled I've been struggling with my weight. I know I don't eat as much as I used to and that I eat healthier but I continued to put on the weight.

Needless to say, I was getting more and more depressed. Then I heard a guy named Leonard Manion on our local raido talk show. He was explaining that one of the causes of weight gain is medication.

It seems that the liver processes both the foods we eat and the medications we take. And, the stronger the medication the harder it is for the liver to process it. Which means that the food is waiting to be processed. When it waits too long then it becomes toxic.

According to Mr. Manion the body then starts storing these toxins into our cells to be taken care of later. The problem is that there is never a later because we continue to take our medication and eat food.

Mr. Manion also mentioned a few things we can do to help the liver process medication. I thought the show was excellent and can't wait to hear more.
